Where is the wedding?

The ceremony will be hosted at St Austin Catholic Church. The reception will be hosted at Assembly Hall.

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive at the ceremony venue around 1:30-1:45pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00pm. Please plan to arrive at the reception venue around 4:00pm.

What should I wear?

We are requesting formal attire, meaning long dresses and suits. For the ceremony, please opt for more modest attire. There will be time to change before the reception if you'd like. Please also remember to avoid wearing white, cream, or ivory dresses or suits.

When do I RSVP?

We will start accepting RSVP responses when formal invitations go out around January. For now, we just wanted to give everyone ample notice to plan for travel, work, etc. Once you receive your formal invitation, please RSVP by March 21.

Do I really need to RSVP?

Yes! We need formal responses from everyone, even if you have already told us you’re planning to attend. This is so that our wedding planner can capture your dietary restrictions, accommodation needs, etc.

I don’t see the RSVP page!

If you are not seeing the RSVP page on the wedding website, that likely means that you are early or late to the RSVP party. The RSVP page will open once formal invitations go out around January and will close after the RSVP deadline on March 21. If you are within this window, please email our planner at planning@gardeniawed.com to see if maybe there is an error with the website. If you are looking before the open date, just check back after you receive your formal invitation. If you are looking after the close date, please email our planner at planning@gardeniawed.com to see if it would be possible to squeeze you in.

Can I bring a plus one?

When you go to the RSVP page online, it will note whether or not we were able to allot a plus one. We are limiting additional guests to ensure we are celebrating with our closest friends and family. We also have to consider the venue's allowed capacity. If there is someone you would really like to bring, please reach out to us far in advance from the wedding date. There will not be extra seating for unexpected guests.

The guest on my invite can't come, can I bring someone else instead?

Please check with us first, especially if we don’t personally know the guest you would be bringing instead.

Are children allowed?

To keep our celebration intimate, we are hosting an adults-only event (with the exception of a few close family children). If your child(ren) are not named on your invitation, we kindly ask that you make arrangements for childcare, as we are unable to accommodate additional children.

I originally declined, but now I’m available! Can I still come?

That’s so great! If the RSVP page is still live on the website, you can simply change your RSVP response there. If the RSVP page is closed, please email our wedding planner at planning@gardeniawed.com to confirm if the additional seat can still be added.

What if I can no longer attend?

We totally understand that life happens, but if you need to cancel, we kindly ask that you email our wedding planner at planning@gardeniawed.com instead of texting us directly. As the big day gets closer, we’ll be juggling a lot, and receiving last-minute texts can feel a little overwhelming. Our planner will make sure everything gets updated on the backend. Feel free to reach out to us after the wedding—we’d still love to hear from you then!

How is parking?

For the ceremony, parking is available at the corner of San Antonio St. and W. MLK Jr. Blvd., across from the Otis & AC Marriott Hotel. Please park on the first four levels in any space marked "reserved for St Austin." For the reception, a small parking lot is available on-site; however, the majority of parking is street or garage parking. Shuttle service will also be available (see "travel" page for details).

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is allowed at the venue in the designated outdoor areas.

Can I take pictures during the wedding?

Please do not take photos or use your phone during the ceremony. We have a professional photographer who will be capturing all of the beautiful moments, and a cell phone is a very unsightly photobomb. Please also do not bring any sort of professional camera or block the photographer. Although cellphone photos are welcome during reception, we kindly ask that you not post photos of us on social media until after we have shared ours.

Can I "Irish Goodbye"?

Yes! We’d love to hug each and every one of you goodbye—but if we’re on the dance floor, feel free to quietly slip out without saying goodbye. We promise we won’t take it personally, and we’ll catch up after the wedding!

I have more questions!

Please email our wedding planner at planning@gardeniawed.com. Please also try to avoid texting us questions the week of the wedding. Feel free to also call or text our planner at 602-529-3430 the week of the wedding.
